THE Virus

We rang in the 4AM hour with tears, fever, and vomiting. After getting a bath and stripping all the beds, she finally went back to sleep about 6:45 and slept until 10AM. She laid around and watched "The House With Too Many Kids" (aka "Full House";) most of the day. She seems better tonight, but please say a prayer that she stays that way. I don't want my poor baby sick on her birthday!!

My Heart {and Twin Day}

"Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body."
                                                                               --Elizabeth Stone
Today was "Twin Day" at school, but twins are overrated so we went with quintuplets, ha! However, since I'm vying for "Mom of the Year" (I left the girl's lunch in the oven this morning and never realized it until she ran to me in a panic in the lunchroom...fail:/), I didn't get any pics of all five girls. I did get one of Emma and Aaliyah this morning since they walk to class together, and Alex snapped one in the car rider line (but we are minus Mallie since she is a bus rider:/). I will do better next time...maybe;).

Fall-ish Weekend

We woke up Saturday morning to fall-ish weather, and it was wonderful! The girl and I headed to a birthday party but made it home in time to watch the second, nerve-wracking half of the Bama/A&M game. Bama pulled off the 49-42 win. (Roll Tide!) This morning in Sunday School, she may or may not have told Bethany that I yell at the TV;).
Last night we went to Russ and April's for the Auburn game. We missed out on the gathering a couple of weeks ago, because our games overlapped. We had so much fun, though, and are hoping we don't have anymore overlapping game times!
We had a picnic in the park after church. The kids had a blast,
and now we are just wishing our lives away until next weekend;).

Ball & Birds

Last night we went to watch the Vols play!
Today was the opening day of dove season (and the Tide were off,
hopefully working on an O for next week;), so the kids were
decked out in camo ready to fetch birds after a birthday party.
Ready to go...
And with their loot (eeeeeewwwww!)...

Throwback Thursday {and other stuff}

The girl and me...proud to have almost made
it through one more week...and state monitoring;)
E's first day of tumbling was this afternoon. Due to some
scheduling conflicts and the fact that I can only be in one place
at a time, she had to make a choice between dance or tumbling:(.
We are also at a new studio, due to the same reasons listed above.
She seemed to enjoy it, and we are hoping for a wonderful year! :)
Mama's cousin, Helen (in the middle), posted this picture
on Facebook today. And while it brings a lot of thoughts to
mind, the one I can't get past is "What is with that dress?!"
Mama says I was in someone's wedding, which makes me
thankful that went out of style years before my blessed event. ;)

Labor Day Weekend

After double football victories (Central Friday night and
Alabama on Saturday), the Grabens gathered at Roger
and Pam's lake house yesterday to celebrate Labor Day.
Today was just a regular day...the kids and I hung out at home all
day, with the exception of a quick trip to the grocery store in which
Luke dressed himself in shorts and boots. Don't judge. I've learned
to choose my battles wisely, and it could be much worse. ;)
Have I told you lately how much I adore these faces?!
Emma and I are counting down to our next long
weekend when we will be headed to The Big Apple!! :)
