Luke: 2 Months

Luke, you are two months old!

You hate "tummy time", but you're getting really good

at lifting your head. You hold it up so steady when we

are holding you. I think you'll be pushing up soon!!

You are growing, growing, growing!
You weigh 13lbs. & 3oz., and you're 24 inches long, and
you've gained 5lbs. & 13 oz. and grown 4 inches since birth.

You love to smile...and you love your changing table!

You are such a happy baby. You only cry when you're

hungry, need to be changed, or don't feel well. 

This picture sums up your demeanor - laid back and easy going!

You're probably ready for Mommy to stop taking

your picture...but you don't cry...just a simple yawn!

On 12.01.10 you had your first round of vaccinations.

You had three shots and one oral vaccine. You were such

a big boy!! You cried for just a minute, but when Mommy

picked you up you immediately stopped!

Dr. Ray said you were just perfect...of course we already knew that! ;)

He gave you a sticker, and you dozed right off to sleep!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Actually it's been looking a lot like Christmas at our house! Justin would be utterly embarrassed if he knew I shared this, but since I am pretty sure he doesn't read the blog I will tell you that I put my first Christmas tree up the day before Luke was born! It's an Alabama tree...and football season started at the beginning of September, so I thought it was perfectly fine for me to go ahead and get into the spirit! However, he wouldn't "allow" me to turn it on in fear that the neighbors would think I was crazy. Ha! I love Christmastime, and I hate to put everything up and turn right around and take it down. I like for it to last as long as possible!

4 Stockings!

This is the first year Emma has helped decorate the tree.

She had all of the ornaments in one section, but she was

such a big girl doing it! I am so proud of my sweet baby!

A Birthday & More Turkey

E had a birthday party to go to this afternoon, and we had Thanksgiving with the McCollums tonight. Needless to say both kids were exhausted by bedtime!

Megan was holding Luke, and Stephanie was talking to him. He would
just laugh at her...but of course when I got the camera out he stopped!

The Tide didn't pull off the win today, but it wasn't because these sweet

boys didn't watch every play! We're not fair weather fans...ROLL TIDE!

Thanksgiving Day

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is a time of year when we reflect on all of the things we have to be thankful for. I have SO MANY things to be thankful for I couldn't possibly list them all here, but some of the things I am most thankful for are...

• a risen Savior who died so that I can have eternal life.
• my husband. I love him more each day, and I couldn't imagine a more "perfect for me" person to grow old with!
• my sweet babies. Being a mommy is the hardest, but most rewarding thing I have ever had the privilege of doing.
• my family...the one I was born into and the one I married into! I am so blessed to be surrounded by people who love me and are there for me when I need them!
• my friends...old and new, who are always there for me!
• all of the people who take part in raising my children (grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, church family, daycare, etc.). "It takes a village to raise a child."
• my church and church family.
• my health, and the health of my husband and babies.
• my job, my co-workers, and my school children. If I can't stay at home with my babies at least I get to be a part of molding the lives of other people's babies!
• my house and all of the things inside. It may not be a big house, but it provides us shelter and it is filled with love.
• my car. Even though I often complain that it isn't big enough I am very thankful to have a reliable vehicle to take my family and me anywhere we want to go.
• my country and my freedom! It is by God's grace that I was born in this great nation, and it is thanks to the many men and women who have fought and continue to fight so that we can be free.

Please don't tell anybody, but I was actually born a Georgia fan!
It wasn't until later in life that I got wise and started cheering for
the Tide! This was my jacket when I was a little girl...as you can
see she is not thrilled about having to wear such things!

I'm thinking this is the look most Georgia fans have had on their
face this season. All jokes aside though...UGA is my second favorite
SEC team...not a close second, but second none-the-less! :)

After we left Nana's we went to MawMaw's

house for supper. Cousins Andrew and Alexis and

Uncle Roger came by and met Luke for the first time.
