Yea Alabama!

We got up early this morning and headed to Tuscaloosa to watch the Tide play their Homecoming game. And, yes, we were "those fans" Coach Saban has been talking about...we left at halftime. But in our defense we're parents of a 6-year-old who was nearing heat stroke (not really, but it was H.O.T.). As usual, we enjoyed our time in Crimson Country:).
Overall, E was not impressed with Homecoming since The Million
 Dollar Band didn't play (and they are AMAZING!). We did enjoy
 seeing campus all decorated for the events. This was our fave:).
We also enjoyed the game, and we are
going to miss seeing AJ on the field next year!
Since we left at halftime, we were able to make it (fashionably late)
to a special girl's birthday party, where Luke was waiting on us.
It was a busy but fun day! :)

Pumpkin Patch {E's First Field Trip}

Instead of spending today teaching first graders, I spent the day being mama to a special kindergartener on her first field trip! It was a great trip, but I am more thankful than ever that I teach first grade and not kindergarten, ha! There is a special place in Heaven for those teachers!!
Hay Maze
My favorite part of the day was watching this girl rope!

I think the trip was a success. The best part of my day,
however, was getting home and finding these two snuggling! :)

The Big Yellow Bus

Apparently being a teacher's child comes with some sacrifices...like the bus. Every single day Emma asks me if she can ride the bus, so she was super excited when today was her day. I had a faculty meeting, so she rode to Mrs. Elizabeth's. She was one happy girl!

Gymnastics

Emma started watching gymnastics meets on ESPN last winter. We decided to take her to a gymnastics meet in Tuscaloosa, and ever since then it's all she's talked about! She finally talked us into making the drive to Anniston to try it out. She absolutely LOVES it, so we've decided to give it a try for a while.
