Good Friday {and an Easter party!}

It's Good Friday, and as I think about all that it means to
me the most powerful (and obvious) verse comes to mind...

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

As I sit here in the comfort of my home, surrounded by my belongings (some of which are essential needs, but most of which are pure wants), I am overwhelmed at the thought of God sending His Son to die for a sinner like me. I do nothing to deserve His many blessings on me, and I know that I absolutely would not allow my son (or daughter) to die for another's sins. What an amazing gift He has given us, all of us (hence the whosoever)...if only we will accept it! I hope everyone has a wonderfully blessed Easter weekend, and I hope you share God's gift with someone too! =)

Today was the Easter party and egg hunt at Mrs. Elizabeth's.
They hunted eggs twice earlier in the day, so I'm sure E is a pro by now!

Here are a few pictures from the party...

I love this picture...it reminds me so much of their daddies. I can
definitely see them in a few years this deep in conversation over cows! :)
Luke gnawing away at that cracker!
These girls are a MESS!

We Have a Walker on Our Hands!

Thank you Avery Claire (Noah and Jonah too!) for loaning
us this handy dandy contraption! I think it's a hit! :)

A Weekend Full of Easter

Saturday we had our churchwide Easter egg hunt.
Luke did a lot of jumping, and very little egg hunting! :)
I think E and Hudson were discussing egg hunting strategies! ;)
Let the hunt begin!
Emma and Michael wandered over to the big kid side!
Seth and Emma were checking out their goodies!
Could you not just eat him up with a spoon? I get the sweetest
hugs from this little guy every morning at Mrs. Elizabeth's.
I want my babies to be able to enjoy everything associated with
Easter, but I want them to always remember the true Easter miracle.
Tonight the kids at church put on their Easter play. They did an
AMAZING job, and another soul was won to the Lord! Seth
Graben, we love you and we are SO PROUD of you!

Let the Countdown Begin!

As sad as I am to see Spring Break 2011 come to an end I am proud to announce there are only 30 more school days until summer (29 with students)! That, my friends, is something to get excited about! Six more Mondays, and I will be spending the summer AT HOME with my babies! Do you know how happy that makes me? Anyway, on to our Spring Break recap...

Picture it: Friday, April 8, 2011...approximately 3:30PM.
Let Spring Break Begin! :)
That night a group of ladies met at BBC to paint our own little masterpieces. It was SO MUCH FUN, and we are already planning our next "painting party". If you're looking for something fun to do with a group you should check out Blessings in Brushstrokes.
On Saturday Miss Priss, Nana, Luke Man, and I did a little shopping. Justin is always sure to tell Luke he won't have to endure shopping trips his entire life...
only until he is big enough to throw his boots on and jump in the truck!
Sunday after church we helped give a shower for Anna!
These wild girls were the life of the party. I apologize, Anna, and I
promise she won't run back and forth down the aisle at your wedding! ;)
After evening services we went to the park to play!
Monday was filled with a whole lot of nothing until time for
dance, which I didn't feel the need to "fix up" for. While E was
at dance Luke Man and I made our weekly run through Ashland
Piggly Wiggly. Apparently I had a little more of that "Spring
Break look" than I realized, because when I got to the checkout
counter the girl nonchalantly asked me if I was on WIC! =)
Tuesday was consumed by hugs, kisses, naps, and the outdoors.
*Side Note: There is no dress code during Spring Break,
hence the boots, too small shorts, and pajama top. :)
Luke Man is really starting to enjoy playing with things, which
leads me to wonder why we purchase actual toys in the first place.
On Wednesday Emma rode with her Daddy to the cow sale in
Moulton, while Luke and I headed to Oxford to see Dr. Ray (the
dermatologist). I don't have pictures to commemorate either of
these events, but I do have a lovely picture to share with you of
my view leaving Chick-fil-A...and before my non-Alabama readers
start with the Alabama jokes this vehicle has a Mississippi tag.
Yesterday we headed to Mrs. Shauna's to have pictures
made. I can't wait to see them, and I will be sure to post
the ones she shares with me on FB. Before bed I sponge
rolled E's hair in preparation for today's recital pics.
Today was spent under tornado watch followed by a trip to Pell City
for recital pictures. All-in-all I would say this week was a total success
(with the exception of Luke not mastering the word 'Mama':). I am so
thankful to have a job that allows me to spend breaks with my babies,
even if the breaks are too few and far between for this mama's taste! :)
