Sunny California

Last Saturday we packed up the house and headed to ATL, where we actually had another good flying experience. (That makes two in a row, so maybe our "bad flying luck" has taken a turn.:) We left at 4:37PM our time (5:37PM GA time, 2:37 CA time...you can see how this could be exhausting). Anyway, we landed at LAX around 7:15PM, which was 9:15PM at home, so we were all exhausted by the time our heads hit the pillow around midnight our time. (For the record, we spent the next few days skipping naps and staying up late so the kids wouldn't have us up at the crack of dawn.)

Excuse the blurry pics...
On the bus taking us to the airport.

Finally on board and ready for our 4.5 hour flight!
We spent Sunday celebrating Kyle's
18th birthday with a trip to Malibu!
Monday we headed to the San Diego Zoo, where Justin
finally admitted that "it wasn't just a regular zoo." :)
Panda Bears
Skyfari
We spent the night in San Diego and got up Tuesday morning
and headed to Disneyland, where we barely made it in the gate
before meeting Mickey and Minnie. The kids were SO excited!
Luke was so excited about chatting with Mickey
that we had a hard time getting him to pose for a pic.
The weather was beautiful (like breezy and low 70s) and since
CA schools weren't out yet, the lines weren't awful. The kids
were so good the majority of the day with only a few whiny
moments when their little legs were too tired to stand any longer.
Sleeping Beauty's Castle
The Dumbo ride...where Luke may or may not have pulled
his pants down and been seconds (or milliseconds) from peeing
right there at the front of the line:/. You can take the boy out
of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy!
Goofy's chair
And here's Goof himself. His fingers are pointing up in an
attempt to tell Luke to wait. The people in front of us (adults,
mind you) were taking their sweet time getting to him and
if you know Luke, you know he doesn't have time to wait
on anyone...especially not where Goofy is concerned. ;)
The Parade
It's a Small World!
In typical boy fashion, Luke refused to have his picture made
with the princesses, but E was thrilled to meet a few of them!
We had good intentions of staying for the fireworks, but 8 hours
and only a few sections of the park later the kids were exhausted.
We never even made it to California Adventure. Luke was asleep
on the tram before we could even make it back to our car.
Wednesday we relaxed!
Logan & Luke made pancakes.
Thursday was graduation day!
The kids slept in Friday in preparation for our journey home.
Free movies made our trek home very enjoyable!
Goodbye Sunny CA!
Back to the east coast...
where in just a few months our graduate will be residing!

Congratulations, Kyle! We are proud of you.

VBS {Moses}

We spent the week helping out at and attending LBC's VBS, where the kids learned about Moses. It was so much fun, and I enjoyed being a part of it! Ms. Joyce definitely earned another jewel on her crown after her week with my boy, but I am oh so appreciative. :)

Her Last T-Ball Season {And I'm a Slacker}

Life is busy. It doesn't really matter what time of year it is, but it seems like when you have one thing planned you have 4,392...or maybe it's just me? Anyway, the pics below are pretty much the entire season plus the party. I can't believe she'll be moving up next year if she decides to continue playing.

And tonight the Lacys had us over for a swimming
party in celebration of all the kiddos. We had a great
season, ending with an 8-2 record. Next up, Luke Man!
*Side note: E hung out with Papa this afternoon before the
party, where she learned how to roll silverware and make cobbler.
