My children are, without a doubt, the greatest gifts I have ever received. I don't know why God chose me to be their Mama, but I sure am glad He did. Emma Catherine and Luke Joseph, you make me proud. I pray that one day you can say the same about me!

Friday (i)Phone Dump

Tuesday night E had a ballgame. As the season has progressed she has gotten much better at batting, and although it may take her a few swings she usually ends up with a pretty good hit and gets on base. She got up to bat twice...swung and missed SIX times...never hit the tee, the ball, nothing. When we got in the car to go home her daddy asked her what was up with her batting. Without hesitation she said, "I was tired and I didn't want to run, so I didn't hit the ball." Sneaky, sneaky girl we have!! :)

Ashley and I have been walking in the afternoons. Apparently

our Wednesday conversation put Luke Man right to sleep;)

Wednesday night after church my babies had a picnic

in the kitchen floor...I absolutely adore these two!!

On Friday these were delivered to May Day...

They are beautiful and I am so thankful for the precious

babes who "sent" them (and the fella who paid for them;)!

My baby girl also surprised me with this special rose...

{Almost} Wordless Weekend

More Ball, a Sleepover, Weather Day #2, and a Job Announcement:)

We started the week off with a late night game on Monday. The kids played SO well, and we came away with the win. The season is halfway over, and I can really tell a difference in E! She has improved a lot, and I love every second I get to spend watching her play:)

Yesterday afternoon I picked up these girls...

I had to throw this pic in here...the girls "just had to" change, and they dragged (yes this is correct;) out a bag of clothes Emma has outgrown (because, clearly, she is a giant compared to Ensleigh:). Anyway, Ensleigh insisted on wearing this Alabama jersey out to eat. I tried to explain to her that it was a "Roll Tide" shirt and her parents probably wouldn't be too happy since they weren't "for Roll Tide", but I could not get her to take it off. So, Giddens/Yates families, I apologize...but she does look awfully cute if I do say so myself!! :) 

They had a sleepover...giggling ceased around 10PM;)

Today we are out for another "Weather Day", and I

have spent the majority of it cleaning out drawers and

finally swapping over to summer stuff (sad, I know).

The kids went to Mrs. Elizabeth's for a few

hours, and then Nana picked them up for me:)

There are exactly 3 weeks left for students (hooray!), and...

...it looks like I will be spending my summer moving to LES, since I will be teaching 1st Grade next year!! I have adored my two years spent in 6th grade...but this change was inevitable, and I'm excited about it! There are definitely things I am going to miss about teaching older kids, but there are also great trade offs...like hugs every morning! It will be a busy summer and school year (think all new lesson plans and two moves in four months)...but God is in control, and I know I'm going to be right where He wants me!

Luke: 19 Months

 Luke, you are nineteen months old!

in your 18 month post...I guess that's just the way it goes:)

Here's what you're up to these days...

• You weigh 27lbs. 3oz.
• You are 34 inches long.
• You are wearing 18 and 24 month clothes and size 6 diaper.
• You are a great sleeper most of the time, going to bed anywhere from 6:30PM to 8/9PM (depending on what we have going on...you are very flexible when we are away from home). We wake you up at 6:30AM on weekdays and you sleep later on weekends (8 or so usually).
• You have become a mess at naptime. Sometimes you go down fine, and sometimes you want me to hold you. On those days the only way I can lay you down is in E's bed or on the couch.
• You are still taking one pulmicort treatment each day.
• Your eating habits are back up this month.
• You're a mess, and you keep me on my toes...fearless is a good word to describe you.
• You are loving the ball field these days, and you LOVE to play in the dirt and pick up sticks.
• You also love to pick up trash:/
• You are smart as a whip (and for your own good, I do believe), and your vocabulary is continuously growing.
• You have 16 teeth that you love to show off!
• You have become much more eager about "tee-tee-ing" (is that a word?) in the potty. I put you on there every night, and you get so excited (which may or may not have to do with the fact that you know an M&M is coming your way if you do the deed;). I'm hoping to be in full potty-training mode this summer.
• You are growing up way too fast (and possibly giving me a touch of "baby fever";). I love you THIS much big guy!!

Weather Day #1

It has been so long since we have had a "Weather Day" in the springtime that I've forgotten how nice those long weekends actually are...just another reason I think we should go to four day school weeks:)! 

A  week or so ago when I got to daycare to pick the kids up Emma had graciously invited "all the friends" to come home with her...and if you know Emma at all you know that when she makes up her mind it is hard to change. Several of the kids, bless their hearts, actually thought they were going to pile up in my car and come home...they were getting their bags and heading for the door.

When I got to daycare Thursday afternoon Emma and Ensleigh had decided they needed to go home together, and since it happened to be a good day I gave in. We spent the afternoon checking on cows...

Thursday night we went to see my boys play ball...

...and we ran into Caden!

On Friday Emma had a little altercation with the ground after falling off the swing...the ground won;)! Honestly, though, this is the first time I can remember her having a "boo-boo" other than the occasional scraped knee (just the opposite of little brother).

Saturday morning we had a t-ball game...

Then on Saturday night Nana got the kids (plural), and Justin and I had a date. It's funny how times change...our date consisted of going out to eat and our monthly trip to "the Walmart store"...I'm not complaining, though...we slept until 9AM this morning!!!

All in all I'd say this was a pretty perfect weekend...and the best

part is we have another "Weather Day" coming up this Friday::))!
